Desertas
These islands offer fantastic sites for diving. They are a Maritime Reserve, home of a colony of very rare monk seals (Monachus monachus). As this is a protected species, diving here requires permission from the authorities.
Selvagens
The Selvagem islands are situated 163 miles from Madeira. They are made up of the Selvagem Grande, Selvagem Pequena and the Ilhéu de Fora. This is an ideal location for a “live aboard” in waters rich in its fauna and flora.
Madeira
The Island of Madeira has numerous diving sites with varied characteristics, including wrecks, caves and the amazing Garajau Reserve.
Porto Santo
The crystalline waters of this island create a feeling of 'diving in space'. The wreck of the ship “O Madeirense”, is the only example of a ship sunk in Portuguese waters for the purpose of diving, and is thus a must for any diver!
